DRM Consortium - Consultation pour les profils de récepteurs

The aim of the DRM Receiver Profiles is to provide a clear description of the required functionality for broadcasters and manufacturers of DRM capable consumer devices. While the DRM Receiver Profiles shall be applicable worldwide, the two suggested levels are in line with the receiver profiles already defined for the DAB family of standards in the European market last year, to support the easy development of multi-standard products. The DRM Consortium is thus trying to "complete the picture".
Our aim is also to put forward a proposal in order to make the most impact from the completion of the DRM system specification to include higher frequencies. Our deadlines are tight and we would like to have this work completed by September.

So attached you will find a short questionnaire asking for your views on what should be included in digital radios designed to receive DRM broadcasts. We are consulting as wide a range of interested parties as possible in order to define profiles for receivers that allow broadcasters to produce content with certainty that it will be presented to their audiences and allow receiver manufacturers to produce well defined products for the market place. We are simply trying to specify features that should be present on all DRM products in each category. Manufacturers are at liberty to provide additional features to differentiate their product from others and provide choice for consumers.

The consultation will end on July 31st, so we would be most grateful if you could share this information and the included questionnaire inside your company and also suggest manufacturers' groups or organizations that could help us in our endeavour.
